The 9 Day Itinerary – Pearls of the Adriatic Tour

Day 1 – Saturday

Depart Toronto by air via Rome to Ancona, with transfer to Pesaro.

Day 2 – Sunday

Connecting flight to Ancona, capital of the Marche Region. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea as you travel north along the coast to your deluxe hotel. Prepare for an orientation tour of Pesaro – your home for the next week. Seaside dinner to complete the day.

Day 3 - Monday

Breakfast in the hotel. Greet your Chef Antonio for the week and visit the outdoor market to select the specialties of the day for your first cooking lesson. Begin creating your Italian feast, one course, one day at a time.

Today’s Cooking Lesson: Appetizers – Antipasto!

Today’s Excursion: The spectacular Renaissance town of Urbino, including: antique medieval quarters, artistic treasures, hidden chapels, the Ducal Palace, and the childhood home of the Renaissance prodigy Raphael. Dinner featuring Urbino’s classic specialties.

Day 4 - Tuesday

Today’s Cooking Lesson: Pasta!

Today’s Excursion: The stunning Grotte di Frasassi, a remarkable series of karst show caves particularly known for incredible stalactites and stalagmites. Visit the Museum of San Vittorio Terme, treasure shopping. Dinner and an evening of traditional Italian music

Day 5 - Wednesday

Today’s Cooking Lesson: Seafood and Vegetables – Pesce e Contorni!

Today’s Excursion: Visit a local artisanal cheese factory.

Day 6 - Thursday

Today’s Cooking Lesson: Meat and Vegetables – Carne e Contorni!

Today’s Excursion: Travel to Gradara, a splendid medieval walled village that has been perfectly preserved. Learn about the historical influence of the families such as the Sforzas, Della Rovere, Borgias and Medici. Outstanding photo opportunities.

Day 7 - Friday

Today’s Cooking Lesson: Dessert, Pizza and Cheese – Dolci, Pizza e Formaggi!

Today’s Excursion: Travel to Novilara, an ancient walled town located a short distance from Pesaro. Visit Candelara’s famous wine bar to sample some of the local vintages.

Day 8 - Saturday

Your last full day in the Marche Region will be at your leisure, with several options: shopping, relaxing at the beach, local winery, artisanal cheese producer, or optional local excursions arranged through your local Tour Coordinator.

Day 9 - Sunday

Breakfast in hotel. Check-out and transfer to Ancona for flight to Toronto via Rome. Afternoon arrival in Toronto (or for those staying on, depart accordingly).
